About Us
Bright Futures Academy LLC is a nonpublic school that serves over 150 students with severe behavioral problems, autism and other special needs too challenging for mainstream schools across two campuses in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
Formed in 2012, Bright Futures Academy currently employs 176 people, 17 of whom are credentialed teachers. As required by the State of California, all Bright Futures Academy employees undergo extensive background checks and, before they are put into the classroom, are required to take 20 hours of training in verbal de-escalation techniques and appropriate physical management.
Approximately 18 local school districts place their students with special needs with Bright Futures Academy, which offers an individualized behavioral and academic approach based on Applied Behavioral Analysis techniques. This research-based, positive behavior management follows the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Model (PBIS) with the goal of returning Bright Futures Academy students to traditional classrooms as quickly as possible.
Bright Futures earns annual certification from the State of California's Department of Education and in 2016, became the only nonpublic school in the Inland Empire to be certified by the prestigious Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
